I am helping various cloud computing SDOs define cloud measures and metrics, especially in context for SLAs.  Includes: OMG-CSCC, NIST, ITU, TM Forum, CSA and ISMA.   My second draft contribution is being distributed February 6. The March 28 Virtual Workshop (see workshops menu) will provide key industry updates and progress on robust cloud measurement.  The Cloud Measurement chapter that I wrote in the IFPUG-ISMA book will be published in the summer and is already at the publishers!

ITU Cloud Computing Focus Group – December Geneva sessions very productive

The ITU-T  Cloud Computing Focus Group meetings in Geneva, were very productive and the various generated documents will be beneficial to various cloud audiences.  Please contact me for more information.  I am now coordinating better collaboration, between various SDOs for cloud SLA metrics (NIST, ITU, DMTF, TM Forum, ISMA-IFPUG).  Very good meetings, long days, however the weather was not optimal.

Cloud Computing ITU United Nations Geneva Dec 12-16

I am looking forward to attending the ITU United Nations Cloud Computing Focus Group to finalize several key models and documents.  I hope to contribute measurement and governance approaches, plus communicate the linkage with the NIST and other SDO cloud computing frameworks.  It should be a very interesting week to clarify Carrier activities and better incorporate SLA and governance measurement opportunities.
